The Association of Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes welcomes healthcare institutions and professionals dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and ethical practice. APHN offers various membership categories to accommodate different types of healthcare providers and professionals.
Whether you operate a multi-specialty hospital, nursing home, or are a healthcare professional, APHN has a membership category suited to your needs and aspirations.
Eligibility Criteria
For Institutions
- Must be a registered Clinical Establishment (CE)
- Valid CE License required
- Commitment to ethical healthcare practices
- Compliance with regulatory standards
For Individuals
- Proprietor, Partner, or Director status
- Professional standing in healthcare
- Adherence to code of conduct
- Financial capacity to pay membership fees
Types of Membership
General Member
- Who: Proprietor, Partner, or Director of a Clinical Establishment
- License Requirement: Valid CE License (or lapsed no more than 6 months)
- Fee: Paid in advance annually
- Voting Rights: Eligible to vote and contest elections
- Restriction: Cannot be member of similar associations
Associate Member
- Who: Partner, Director, or first-degree family member/next of kin
- Relationship: Connected to CE proprietor, partner, or director
- Fee: 50% of applicable General Membership fee
- Voting Rights: No voting rights or election participation
- Restriction: Cannot be member of similar associations
Honorary Member
- Who: Patrons, Advisors, distinguished professionals, eminent individuals
- Criteria: Significant contributions to healthcare or society
- Fee: No membership fee payable
- Voting Rights: No voting rights (unless specifically provided)
- Recognition: Conferred as mark of respect and repute
Special Membership
- Criteria: May not fulfill standard requirements
- Approval: Requires Core Committee decision and Governing Body Meeting
- Discretion: Core Committee has authority to accept
- Special Cases: Addresses unique circumstances and institutional profiles
- Flexibility: Tailored membership arrangements available

Individual Membership
For individual healthcare professionals including doctors, administrators, and senior staff members of Clinical Establishments. Individual members enjoy networking opportunities and access to APHN resources and knowledge platforms.

Membership Fees & Annual Renewal
General Membership Annual Fees

Annual Renewal Process
Members must renew membership annually by paying the prescribed fee before the renewal deadline to maintain continuous membership status.
Associate Member Fee
Associate Members pay 50% of the applicable General Membership fee based on the associated CE's bed capacity.
Required Documents
Registration Certificate
Valid registration or incorporation certificate of the Clinical Establishment or organization
PAN (Permanent Account Number)
Valid PAN card or PAN certificate issued by the Income Tax Department
GST Registration
GST certificate (where applicable) as per goods and services tax registration requirements
Other Relevant Licenses
Clinical Establishment License, Pharmacy License, and other applicable healthcare licenses

Prepare Application
Gather all required documents and complete the membership application form in prescribed format
Submit Application
Submit application online or in prescribed format along with applicable membership fee
District Review
Application is scrutinized and recommended by the District Core Committee
State Approval
Final approval granted by State Core Committee in accordance with bylaws

Membership Approval Procedure
Stage 1: District Review
Initial scrutiny and recommendation by the District Core Committee. The committee evaluates all documentation, verifies eligibility criteria, and assesses the applicant's standing in the district. Recommendations are forwarded to the State Core Committee with detailed assessment reports.

Stage 2: State Final Approval
The State Core Committee reviews all applications with district recommendations and makes the final decision. The committee has full authority to approve, reject, or request additional information in accordance with Association bylaws. Final approval grants full membership status.
